Unlike Onesixtyone, SNMPwalk is able to not only identify the usage of common or default SNMP community strings, but is also able to leverage this configuration to gather large amounts of information from the target system. This is accomplished through the use of a series of SNMP GETNEXT requests to essentially brute-force requests for all information made available by a system through SNMP.
