Morning Review. It’s your last chance to complete any actions scheduled as weekly, so look now at how to fit them in. What Daily Actions score will you go for today?

Daily Scores. How did you do this week? If you got your Daily Actions score up to 8 or more, it’s time to celebrate your achievement. You are on the path to success in reaching your Program Goal and getting more clients. If your scores are in the 5 to 7 range, you are getting close, but need to make some changes. Revisit the Morning Review for Days 4 and 6 to see what else you might do. If you are consistently scoring lower than 5 on Daily Actions, you are not failing at marketing; you are learning what it will take to market well. There is something in your way, and once you know what it is, you can begin to eliminate it. We’ll look at some of these potential roadblocks tomorrow.

Complete your week by making a list of your wins over the last seven days. What worked? What went well? What great things did you do, say, receive, and achieve? Here’s a sample “wins” list:

Completed my 10-second introduction and tried it out at a networking event

Met three potential referral partners at the Association of Accounting Professionals meeting

Studied two chapters of a book about networking

Had lunch with my former boss and got some inside info on local firms

Read about two companies that might need my services in this month’s issue of Accounting Pro

Heard that the Helping Hand Foundation might need a volunteer accountant

Keep your wins list where you can see it, right next to your Tracking Worksheet. Then congratulate yourself—you stuck with the program through Week One.

Thought for the day: There are benefits of doing business with you that you take for granted but that would thrill your prospects if they knew about them. Look for the hidden assets in your business, and be sure to reveal them in your marketing.
