Day 4

Begin the day with your Morning Review. Look at your Success Ingredients, Daily Actions, and Special Permission and plan how you will include each in the day’s agenda. You will do this each working day of the program. In today’s review, and for all of this first week, pay special attention to the Daily Actions you chose. How did it work for you to add these new activities into your day?

If you scored 8 or above on your Daily Actions yesterday, keep them as they are. If you scored lower, but yesterday was unusually busy or chaotic, give yourself another day to see how you do. However, if you’re feeling overwhelmed and suspect that your choices may have been too ambitious, you have complete permission to scale back a bit. Rather than eliminating any of the actions you chose, try just reducing the level of effort. Is there something you committed to do daily that could happen three times per week instead? Or could you cut down on the number of calls, letters, or meetings you had planned? Now is the time to redesign a list of actions that will work for you within the reality of a normal working day.

At the end of the day, compile your Daily Scores. Did you do better today? Terrific! If you’re still not satisfied with your scores, don’t worry or feel guilty; we will continue to look at ways of making them improve.
