Set a Goal, Get Focused, Get Results

“One of the comments I frequently hear from my clients is how focused on productive activities they become in the Get Clients Now! program,” recalls marketing consultant and coach, Loretta Love Huff, the Dream Leader for Business. She recalls,

One participant set a goal for the course and by the second week of tracking, had already achieved it. It wasn’t that she had “sandbagged” her marketing prowess by setting an easy goal to reach. It was that once it was set, she stopped wasting her time on things that didn’t really matter!

She stopped thinking about marketing her business and worrying what bad things might befall her, and started actually talking with people about her business. She resisted the temptation to open her e-mail program until she had worked on the item on her Daily Actions list that scared her the most.

She made calls early in the day to prospects and experienced the exhilaration of conquering her fears and completing her action items, feeling successful and accomplished even if they said no to her offers.

Fueled by her increased productivity, she had time to pursue her more creative ideas without the guilt of thinking, “I should be doing something else.” This increase in productivity and confidence ultimately led to the creation of a business mentoring and mastermind group which established her as a leader in her community.

And it all started with setting a goal and staying focused on it.
