Damian Allen is a commercial artist and creative director living in Los Angeles, California. He has designed and directed motion graphics projects for British Airways, Coca-Cola Amatil, Toshiba, Epson, Pfizer, and several multinational financial and telecommunications companies. Damian lectures around the world on compositing theory and visual effects design using Apple’s Shake compositing platform. He is the co-author of Apple Pro Training Series: Encyclopedia of Visual Effects and author of Apple Pro Training Series: Shake 4 Quick-Reference Guide.
Mark Spencer is a Bay Area–based producer, editor, teacher, and writer. He owns Day Street Productions, Inc., a production and post studio focused on corporate video, finish editing for documentaries, and DVD design. Mark is an Apple Certified Master Trainer in Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and Motion, and the author of Apple Pro Training Series: Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio 2.
Bryce Button is the owner and primary editor for Through Line Post, located in Denver and Los Angeles. He has won numerous awards in the course of his 500-plus editing projects. Bryce’s specialty is documentary storytelling, although he has edited films, commercials, and television programs throughout his career. International clients have included Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Redford, Republic Pictures, NBC, ABC, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the BBC. Bryce is one of the premier Avid instructors in the United States, having worked with Avid Media Composer since 1988. The author of Nonlinear Editing: Storytelling, Aesthetics and Craft. he has also written for DV and Computer Video magazines and lectured at venues including DV Expo, the Rockport International Film School, and Moviola.
Tony Huet is the director of training at Digital Training & Designs, a training and consulting center based in Dallas, Texas, that serves professionals in the graphics, printing, and communications communities. Tony’s two decades of experience in photography, videography, and post-production inform his background knowledge of the industry. With 15-plus years as an instructor, Tony is an Apple Certified Trainer in Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and Motion, and an Adobe Certified Instructor in After Effects, Premiere, and Encore.
