About the Author

2013), formerlyForm Fit Fashion(© 2009), “a new fashion
bible for designers, aspirers, and the just plain curious—this
tome contains all the secrets.” Calderin is also the author
of Rockport Publisher’sFashion Design Essentials(© 2012),
and a coauthor ofFashion Design, Referenced(© 2013).He
founded and has served as the Executive Director of Boston
Fashion Week since 1995. In 2012 he was appointed Creative
Director of the rst Chengdu Fashion Week in China.
Calderin is the Director of Creative Marketing and an instruc-
tor at the School of Fashion Design in Boston, teaching a wide
variety of fashion and professional development courses. He
has taught at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Mas-
sachusetts College of Art and Design, Lasell College, and
Burdett College. His work as a fashion designer has graced
the pages of Vogue and Elle magazines. Calderin also held the
of ce of Regional Director of the Fashion Group International
of Boston from 2009–2010.
