The following JEPs had a status of Submitted at the time of writing this book:

• Experimental features will be disabled by default
• The default CDS archive will be included in the JDK binary 
• Javadoc tags will be created in order to discern the difference between APIs, implementations, notes, and specifications
• New JMX annotations will be used to register managed resources
• The GTK3 will undergo modernization in regards to its layout
• New REST APIs will be created for JMX
