have left and have that display on my remote
too, while I am operating the robot.
Then I take it one step further: I program the
transmitter to disable the robot at a certain
voltage and not allow it to move until I change
the battery or charge it!
This simple telemetry setup can save you money
in destroyed batteries and also in frustrations
of not knowing how much runtime you have left
when operating the robot.
What about feedback? Imagine how you could
feed sensor data back into your robot’s movement
— say, move a different way when it detects
obstacles or uneven terrain (motor position or
load feedback, accelerometer/IMU data), or
when it senses lights, sounds, or smart camera
inputs, or even a certain tap or nudge from a
human companion? Now your prop is becoming a
character itself! Literally endless possibilities.
