The pull server is the central repository for all the MOF files and DSC resources that the LCM uses in order to schedule and execute. With the push model, you are responsible for distributing the DSC resources and MOF files to the target nodes yourself. A DSC pull server provides them to the target nodes on demand and ensures that they have the correct version.
