Lorie King Kaehler

Lorie King Kaehler has worked with children as a reading specialist and middle school teacher for more than 10 years. After her son and daughter were born, she took a leave of absence to be home with them during their preschool years. It was during this time that she started her blog, Reading Confetti. The blog, originally created to share ideas with other parents for creating lifelong readers, has evolved to include many different kinds of projects and activities for kids. Reading Confetti has been featured in magazines such as FamilyFun and Scholastic Teacher. Now that her children are starting school, Lorie has returned to the classroom as a reading specialist at the elementary level. Lorie lives in Minnesota with her husband and kids, but makes frequent trips to Wisconsin to visit her extended family. The two months of the year she’s not shoveling snow, she enjoys reading, planning parties, and watching reality television.

Donna Starry

Donna Starry has always loved photographs but became especially interested in photography after her first son was born. Her other hobbies include scrapbooking, playing piano, and volunteering at her children’s school. In 2014, she earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Donna has a teaching degree in Broad Field Social Science for the middle and high school level. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and four children but makes frequent trips to Minnesota to visit her sister and extended family.
