Controlling a Computer over the Network

If you want to give control—or as much control as you’re authorized to have—to someone else on the network, you can use Windows Meeting Space to turn over your entire Desktop to a meeting participant.

Turn Over Control

  1. Start Windows Meeting Space, start a meeting, and invite the person to whom you want to give control of your Desktop.

  2. After he or she has joined the meeting, click Share. Click OK if you see a dialog box about sharing.

  3. Select Desktop, and click Share.

  4. Click Give Control, and select the name of the person who’ll be controlling your computer.

  5. Let him or her use any items on the Desktop or open any program from the Start menu.

  6. To regain control, click Control again, and choose Take Control or press the Windows key+Esc.
