Description of the Path to Certification

The Network+ exam is numbered N10-002. The closed-book exam provides a valid and reliable measure of your technical proficiency and expertise. Developed in consultation with computer industry professionals who have on-the-job experience with multivendor hardware and software server products in the workplace, the exams are conducted by Virtual University Enterprises (VUE), the electronic testing division of NCS Pearson. VUE has more than 2,500 authorized testing centers, serving more than 100 countries. Testing is also available from Sylvan Prometric.

The exam prices vary, depending on your CompTIA member status:

CompTIA members: $149 each

Non-CompTIA members: $199 each
