Use the following steps to create a connection to Google BigQuery:
- At your Qlik Sense hub, use the Create new app option and give an appropriate name to the new application.
- At the add data step, we're forced to use the Script editor since data manager does not currently allow SQL statements:
- Create a connection to Google BigQuery using the provided connector, named Google BigQuery (marked in the following screenshot). Choose the Create new connection option and then select the Google BigQuery option:
- Click Sign In and be sure to disable the popup blocker on your browser:
- A Google account form will be displayed. Please log in with the appropriate Google credentials.
- A form with the Qlik Web Connectors (BigQuery) wants to access your Google Account message will be displayed. Please use the Allow option:
- A long string with a code will be generated. Copy this to your clipboard:
- Paste the string into the Authentication field of the Create new connection form.
- Click the Validate button.
- Click the Create Button.
The right-hand side of the screen will now contain a connection with a Google logo:
Press the small icon just beneath Google BigQuery so the Qlik Sense Script editor will add a line just after your script:
LIB CONNECT TO 'Google_BigQuery';
