Windows Vista provides a variety of ways to view your photos and other pictures so that you can decide which ones to keep, copy, print, or send to friends. Although the Windows Photo Gallery is a superb way to organize and view your photos, you might want to look at some photos that you haven’t yet included in the Gallery—those on a removable USB memory device, for example.
In the folder that contains the photos, click the down arrow at the right of the Views button, and drag the slider to Extra Large Icons.
Click the down arrow at the right of the Preview, Edit, or Open button (whichever is shown), and choose Windows Photo Gallery from the list. If none of these buttons is shown, right-click the photo, and choose Preview from the shortcut menu.
View the photo, and use the tools in the viewer just as you use them in the Windows Photo Gallery.
"Labeling and Tagging Your Photos" and "Managing Your Photos" for information about organizing and viewing photos using the Windows Photo Gallery.
"Printing Your Photographs" for information about printing your photos.
"Setting Your Default Programs" for information about setting a program that opens by default for a specific type of file.
