Configuration Manager Reporting
Chapter 21, “Configuration Manager Reporting,” discusses where Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) stores its inventory data and how to find that information. It also explains the different types of reports within a series and basic design rules, such as having a consistent look and feel across all reports. Chapter 21 also illustrates how to create and use a report. The following related online content is available:

Extending Hardware Inventory—Online Only

It discusses how to extend hardware inventory, which queries Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) on each ConfigMgr-managed client to gather data about that device.
