Roger would like to thank…

… Lucy Wilson, Lotte Horberry, and George Horberry for putting up with me during the writing of this book (and indeed at all other times). Equally praiseworthy are our marvelous contributors (especially John Simmons for his endless encouragement and support over the years), the good people at www.26.org.uk and www.dark-angels.org.uk, Richard Palmer and everyone at theWorkshop (especially Andrew Turner for Mr. OTT and Michael Batey for his insightful review comments), Carl Radley and everyone at Radley Yeldar (especially Andrew Gorman and Richard Coope), James Backhurst and everyone at The Allotment, and Elliott Starr for his thoughts on the life and death of long copy. A tip o’ the hat to one and all.

About Roger Horberry

Roger writes: My copywriting career began at 9.00am on 13 August 1990. Since then I’ve written about everything from finance and fireworks to telecoms and teabags, producing ads, brochures, websites, presentations, packaging, and brand personalities along the way for clients big and small. My work has appeared in the D&AD Annual and the Creative Review and Design Week Awards on several occasions. As well as actual writing I also run copy workshops and guest lecture at the University of Lincoln and elsewhere. I’ve published three previous books: Brilliant Copywriting, Sounds Good on Paper, and 100 Lessons on the Meaning of Life.
