8 Extending Photoshop

Photoshop is huge and magnificent. But like in all software, users discover shortcomings. The engineers of this application have given us ways to extend Photoshop ourselves. With Actions and Scripts, we can perform operations that Photoshop doesn’t have, or we can perform the operations it does have less tediously.

3D is an area Adobe has begun to explore both within Photoshop and in other, newer applications we can use alongside it. Dimension is a useful and growing application we should know about.

Finally, we can start to take what we know about Photoshop on the road. Photoshop now has a version for iPad that will get more fully capable as time passes. In its first release, it already shows great promise.
