Part 2. Cloud-native applications

Cloud native is how the next generation of applications is being created. In this part of the book, we’ll discuss the technologies in OpenShift that create the continuously deploying, self-healing, autoscaling behaviors we all expect in a cloud-native application.

Chapter 4 focuses on working with and modifying services in OpenShift. This chapter also walks you through creating probes for your applications to ensure that they’re always functioning correctly.

Chapter 5 takes that to the next level: using OpenShift to automatically scale applications based on resource consumption.

Chapter 6 brings everything cloud-native into a single functional example of deploying an entire continuous integration, continuous deployment application, all in OpenShift.
