Software Narratology Helps Fiction Writers

Any DA+TA (Volume 3, page 330) source (dump artifact + trace artifact) can be used to generate and validate narrative fiction where memory dump components provide fiction structure and software trace components provide behavior (plot and story):

The author already uses such help in writing fiction books83 (”computational” novels) and uses trace analysis patterns in validating historical narratives84 (with Excel and software trace viewers as tools). Here fiction is in no way different from software fictions outlined in the article about software stories (Volume 5, page 278). Please also note two other fields along with software narratology (Volume 3, page 278; SN was defined in mid 2009 where the first pattern appeared earlier in 2009, Volume 3, page 344) that are under development: software chorology and chorography (Volume 5, page 229). Adjoint threads (Volume 4, page 330) and trace analysis patterns85 are the major contributions from SN.

Because we consider memory dumps in a general sense (e.g. philosophy of memoidealism86 where any data is a memory dump) and software trace narremes (page 386) as small memory dumps (Volume 3, page 308) any data stream can be potentially represented as some fictional or real story. And vice versa, any story can be transformed into corresponding computer memory dumps and software traces (for example, the narralog language87 is being designed to model software stories).
