As we can see, the global server load balancing feature is a feature that fits best in all the scenarios. This is because the load balancing is based on DNS instead of IP addresses. This allows us to configure one DNS entry for both data centers per resource. Also, the user needs to remember one URL per resource instead of knowing the IP addresses of both data centers and figuring out which IP address is the active one.

In most scenarios, it's best to use a physical appliance because of the traffic that will flow through Citrix NetScaler.
