In this chapter we described all Citrix NetScaler additional software/hardware that can be used in combination or independently.

Citrix Insight Center will give us information about the traffic flow. This can be done for HTTP traffic, ICA traffic, and for all the traffic through Citrix CloudBridge. This information contains details of WAN latency, LAN latency, jitter, compression, and so on.

Depending on the available Citrix NetScaler license, Citrix Insight Center enables us to return back in time to deliver information in the past. Web Insight doesn't require any license, and can be used as well.

Citrix CloudBridge is a appliance that can optimize traffic between two sites. Besides this, Citrix CloudBridge also supports caching for different kinds of traffic. The caching functionality allows us to send the file only once to the other side; if the file needs to be sent again, Citrix CloudBridge will send the file instead of the client/server.

Citrix CloudBridge Connector will be used to connect private datacenters to public datacenters. The CloudBridge Connector will perform the connection with IPSec or with Citrix CloudBridge's secure connection, for example. Also traffic will be optimized.

The Citrix Command Center can be used to manage and monitor different Citrix appliances. It's also possible to create custom tasks and schedule these tasks. The Citrix Command Center also performs health monitoring and will present this information on the management site. This management page can be shown on a monitor so you always get the correct status of the Citrix appliances in your network.
