Summary

This chapter has provided a technical overview of PPP, the protocol of choice for point-to-point connections.We’ve also covered the Linux PPP daemon, pppd, and its configuration. Additionally, rip2ad has been covered, which lends itself to providing RIP gateway functionality without the complexities of a full-blown routing daemon.
