The ScriptRunner for Jira app allows you to run Groovy scripts inside Jira. Since both Java (what Jira is built with) and Groovy can run on the JVM, you will have access to all the components and APIs that Jira exposes to developers.

In the script, we list a number of search filters by their IDs (these filters need to be shared so that other users can favorite them), loop through them, and add each ID as a favorite to the users in the jira-software-users group, all done using Jira's public API.
