There is no doubt that the data-transfer step is the most time-consuming part of the migration. Usually, the data to be transferred are the messages, calendar events, and contacts. This asynchronous processing is performed in the Google Cloud using mechanisms similar to batches.
Below, we describe in more detail the tools offered by Google for these tasks. We shall stick to the two most common source platforms, namely Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes.
