Phew! Well, we hope that you have enjoyed the book. We hope that through the book, demo levels, and exercise levels, you have been able to get a real feel for implementing audio in lots of different kinds of situations and game genres.

The video game industry continues to develop rapidly. The great thing about that is that new ideas and techniques come up all the time. The difficult thing, however, is that books take quite a while to make it to the shelves and so some objects and approaches in the latest version of UE4 may well have changed by the time your read this. Nevertheless, the principles remain true, so hopefully you can apply these in whatever package you happen to use. We’ll tell you the best version number to use with the book and keep the website FAQ and demo levels regularly updated, but if you spot a problem before we do then just get in touch and let us know.
