The US_County_Boundaries data is a polygon shapefile available from the USGS data catalog at this address: https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/4f4e4a2ee4b07f02db615738.

Click on the download zip link, as shown in the image. Unzip the file into a project folder (for example, C:GeospatialPy3Chapter11) so it can be accessed throughout the chapter:

These shapefiles are not current (for example, the Nets arena is still listed as being in New Jersey and not in Brooklyn), but it's the application techniques that we're exploring here (and how they deal with geometry data types) and not the data itself, so ignore the temporal quality of the data.
