DISTRIBUTED_TRANSACTIONS
Values:0 to TRANSACTIONS
Default:Operating system dependent
Limits the maximum number of distributed transactions in which the database can participate concurrently. This parameter cannot be set to a value greater than that of the parameter TRANSACTIONS. If network failures are occurring with abnormal frequency, causing many in-doubt transactions, consider temporarily decreasing the value of this parameter. This decrease limits the number of concurrent distributed transactions, which then reduces the number of in-doubt transactions, thus reducing the amount of blocked data and possible heuristic decision-making. If DISTRIBUTED_TRANSACTIONS is set to 0, distributed transactions are not allowed at all for the database, and the recovery (RECO) process does not start when the instance starts up.
