These views provide information about the current status of the online and offline redo logs as well as backup processes controlled by the Recovery Manager (RMAN):
Lists redo logs that must be archived.
Shows the status of all archive log destinations specified for the instance. See the INIT.ORA parameters LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST, LOG_ARCHIVE_DUPLEX_DEST, and LOG_ARCHIVE_MIN_SUCCEED_DEST.
Provides information from the control file for all archive logs, using a time-based view of the log files.
Shows the backup status of all online datafiles. This is managed by RMAN.
Details any datafile corruption detected as part of a backup managed by RMAN.
Shows the location of the backup datafile used by RMAN.
Provides a list of available backup devices supported by RMAN.
Provides information about each backup piece. A backup piece is a subset of an RMAN backup set.
Provides information about archived redo logs that have been backed up by RMAN.
Provides information about all RMAN backup sets.
Details any datafile corruption detected as part of a datafile copy managed by RMAN.
Provides information about datafile copies from the control file. This information is maintained by RMAN.
Provides information about archived redo logs, datafile pieces, and datafile copies that have been deleted from the control file.
Contains information about the redo logs from the control file.
Contains information about archived redo logs from the control files. Provides an SCN view of the archived log files.
Provides the current status of all redo logs.
Contains redo log history from the control file. Use of V$LOG_HISTORY is recommended.
Lists datafiles used in media recovery.
Contains information relevant to the current file recovery process. The information is available only to the Recovery Manager process and is not available to users.
Contains derived information from V$LOG_HISTORY that is useful to Recovery Manager. It returns no rows when queried directly by users.
A subset of V$SESSION_LONGOPS that provides current status of recovery operations.
Maintains current statistics for the recovery process. The information is only available to the Recovery Manager and will return zero rows when queried directly by users.
Contains information about all current redo log threads from the control file.
