Table 15.3 lists the privileges that are traditionally reserved to the database administrator and that have been granted to the DBA role. These privileges allow DBAs to alter the database, create new users, define public database links and synonyms, and grant any privilege or role without having first been granted the role with the WITH ADMIN OPTION option (see Chapter 13, for information about specifying that option).
