  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, Windows Vista Business Edition, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2003 Server Standard, Windows 2003 Server Enterprise, Windows 2008 Server Standard, or Windows 2008 Server Enterprise.

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition with Service Pack 1, Visual Studio 2008 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1, or Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition and Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition with Service Pack 1.

  • Microsoft .NET 3.5, Service Pack 1, available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/cc533448.aspx.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Service Pack 2; Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, Service Pack 2; Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Edition; or Microsoft SQL Server 2008.

  • 1.6 GHz Pentium III+ processor, or faster.

  • 1 GB of available, physical RAM.

Additionally, Chapter 11, requires Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 running on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
