We use fonts to distinguish between on-screen components (such as menu names and menu items) and Java code or commands. Our convention is to show on-screen components in a sans-serif bold Helvetica font (for example, Project menu) and to show file names, Java code and commands in a sans-serif Lucida
font (for example, the keyword public
or class Activity
). When specifying commands to select in menus, we use the > notation to indicate a menu item to select. For example, Window > Preferences indicates that you should select the Preferences menu item from the Window menu.
