Sometimes you need to go back into a worksheet and make changes to your data. You can correct the data quickly and easily, either by replacing the contents of an entire cell or by editing the existing content.
Double-click the cell to activate it for editing, or select the cell and press F2.
Click or use the arrow keys to move the insertion point to where you want to do your editing.
Use the Backspace or the Delete key to remove the data you don’t want, and type the new information. Press Enter when you’ve finished.
To select an adjacent cell and set the direction in which the selection moves when you press Enter, choose Excel Options from the Office menu, and, in the Advanced category, select the After Pressing Enter, Move Selection check box. Then, in the Direction list box, select the direction in which you want the selection to move.
