Chapter . Hollywood Writers Strike

Hollywood screenwriters went on strike this year against their production companies. At first the screenwriters had a sympathetic cause – wanting royalties on the digital usage of their work – plus they were the David to the producers’ Goliath. It was difficult to ignore that the TV writers were, by far, the highest paid writers of any kind. As the strike dragged on and after America missed a season of their favorite shows, most people – including cartoonists – were fed up with the writers.
