PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS
Values:0 to 256
Default:Operating system dependent
Multiple Instances:Must have either a value of or the same value as all other instances
Sets the maximum number of parallel query servers or parallel recovery processes for an instance. As required by demand, Oracle will increase the number of query servers from the number created at instance startup up to this value. If this parameter is set too low, then a query server may not be available to some queries during query processing. If the parameter is set too high, memory resource shortages may occur during peak periods, which can degrade performance. Setting this parameter to disables the Parallel Query option.
