Values:Any valid territory name

Default:Operating system dependent

Specifies the name of the territory whose conventions are used for day and week numbering. Supported territories include America, France, Japan, and so on. For a complete list of territories, see “Supported Territories” in theOracle Server Reference Manual. Also specifies the default date format, the default decimal character and group separator, and the default ISO and local currency symbols, which can be changed using the following parameters: NLS_CURRENCY, NLS_ISO_CURRENCY, NLS_DATE_FORMAT, and NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS.
