CPU_COUNT
Synopsis
Values:0 to unlimited
Default:0 or actual number of CPUs
Specifies the number of CPUs Oracle can use. Oracle uses this value to determine the default value of the LOG_SIMULTANEOUS_COPIES parameter. CPU_COUNT is set to on single-CPU computers.
Tip
On most platforms, Oracle automatically sets the value of CPU_COUNT to the number of CPUs available to the Oracle instance, and the value of CPU_COUNT should not be changed. If there is heavy contention for latches, change the value of LOG_SIMULTANEOUS_COPIES to twice the number of CPUs available, but do not change the value of CPU_COUNT.
