In this chapter, we've set up our environment for Felix development. Then we started up the Felix framework to ensure it works. We will cover the commands in Chapter 3. We've also looked at Maven and the Maven plugins made available by the Felix project.
By now, you should:
- Have your development environment ready for use. If you haven't picked an Integrated Development Environment, check out Appendix A: Eclipse, Maven, and Felix for a good option
- Understand Maven life-cycles, phases and goals, and how plugins play a role in those life-cycles
- Be aware of the Maven plugins provided by the Felix project
