Precision-recall curves

The precision-recall curve is an alternative to the ROC curve when the target variable is imbalanced (for example, when the positive-negative ratio is very low or very high). In healthcare, many use cases have a low positive-negative ratio, so you may see this curve often. It plots the positive predictive value of the sensitivity as the threshold varies from 0 to 1. In most cases, this yields an uppercase-L-shaped curve.
