Default:0

Sets the amount of parallelism used by the optimizer in its cost functions. The default of instructs the optimizer to choose the best serial plan. A value of 100 instructs the optimizer to use each object’s degree of parallelism in determining the cost of a full table scan operation. Low values favor indexes, and high values favor table scans.
