Specifies the number of SNPn background processes per instance, where n is to 9 followed by A to Z. (See Chapter 10 for more information on SNPn processes.) This parameter should be set to a value of 1 or higher if snapshots are to be updated automatically. One process is usually adequate unless there are many snapshots that refresh at the same time. Job Queue processes are also used to process requests created by DBMS_ JOB_QUEUE.
