Synopsis

Values:1 to 10, or 0 for a single instance running in exclusive mode

Specifies the number of background lock processes (LCK0 through LCK9) for an instance in a parallel server. The default of 1 is typically adequate, but the value can be increased if the distributed lock request rate saturates the lock process (i.e., becomes CPU bound). You should increase the value of the PROCESSES parameter by one for each LCKn process, and also increase the values of other parameters whose default values are derived from PROCESSES if the defaults are not used.
