CHECKPOINT_PROCESS (Oracle7 Only)
Synopsis
Values:TRUE or FALSE
Default:FALSE
Enables the CKPT background process. CHECKPOINT_PROCESS should be set to TRUE only if the performance of the LGWR process decreases significantly during a checkpoint.
Tip
Adjust all calculations that depend on the number of background processes to allow for the CKPT process. For example, increase the value of the PROCESSES parameter by one, and increase the values of other parameters whose default values are derived from PROCESSES if the default (derived) values are not used.
