Create a One-Shot Appointment

To organize your time commitments, create an event in iCal for each appointment, meeting, or trip. iCal displays each event as an item on its grid, so you can easily see what is supposed to happen when.

You can create an event either for a specific length of time, such as one or two hours, or for an entire day.

As well as keeping your calendar on your iMac, iCal enables you to share your calendar with other people so that they know when you are busy.

The easiest way to share your calendar is by publishing it to your MobileMe account. You can also publish your calendar to a private calendar server – for example, a server that your company runs.
