Saving your work to operating-system files is easy. Use the Save As button (see the mouse cursor in Figure 4.38) and pick the location where you would like the code to be created. When you get a clean compile on the code, it is also stored in the database in the schema that you are currently connected to. Figure 4.38 shows the Save to File function. Ctrl+S will save the code in the original file it was created as. Shift+Ctrl+S will perform the same task as the Save As button.
You can also right-click on the tab of the item you want to save or close and if it contains changes, you will be prompted to save the file before TOAD closes the tab.
