About the Author

Robert A. Donnelly Jr., PhD was a professor at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware, with more than 20 years of teaching experience. He taught classes in statistics, operations management, management information systems, and database management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Bob earned an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, after which he worked for several years as an engineer in a local chemical plant. Despite success in this field, Bob felt drawn to pursue a career in education. It was his desire to teach that took him back to school to earn his MBA and PhD in operations research from the University of Delaware.

Fatma Abdel-Raouf, PhD is a professor at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware, with over 20 years of teaching experience. She teaches classes in statistics, economics, and finance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Fatma earned her Master’s degree and PhD in economics from the State University of New York at Albany. Prior to joining Goldey-Beacom College, Fatma taught at Cleveland State University, Myers University, University of Phoenix, Langston University, the State University of New York at Albany, and Cairo University. Fatma also directed the graduate programs at the University of Phoenix where she started a new Master of Management program. Fatma has publications in the Eastern Economic Journal, the Southwestern Economic Review, the International Advances in Economic Research, the International Journal of the Economic of Business, and the Journal of Business and Economic Studies. Fatma has been awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award from Goldey-Beacom College and from Langston University.

This edition of the book is written in memory of the late Dr. Robert A. Donnelly Jr. You are deeply missed.
