Security is an important requirement for microservices, which leads to distributed computing. As indicated, the role and responsibility of API Gateways in securing microservices from accidental or deliberate security attacks is on the rise. We are all familiar with the initialism confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA). API Gateways ensure unbreakable and impenetrable security for microservices and their data.
