By now, you no doubt recognize that it's not just organizational leaders who need moral intelligence. Leaders can't make their businesses succeed through their own efforts alone. They succeed by doing things that motivate others to design, build, and deliver their companies' products and services. No matter how morally intelligent a leader you are, your moral skills are only valuable to the extent that they inspire morally smart behavior in others. Given that many members of an organization have non-managerial leadership responsibilities, it's crucial that both formal and informal leaders possess strong moral skills that they can impart to their co-workers. In this section, we concentrate on the strategies leaders use to create morally smart organizations.
