Summary

In this chapter, we covered some ways of troubleshooting issues that may come up on our Linux-based networks. While it's impossible to detail every possible thing that can go wrong, this chapter serves as a starting point for common issues that you might face. We started off by looking at routing issues as well as DHCP and DNS troubleshooting. In addition, we looked at useful troubleshooting tools such as nmap, as well as an overview of installing missing firmware that may be required to set up network cards in Debian. We closed off with information pertaining to troubleshooting Network Manager.

With this, this book comes to a close. Thank you for taking this journey through the world of Linux network administration with me. I hope that book has resonated with you and helped you get a better understanding. Working with Linux has been the single best career choice I have made, and I would like to thank all of my readers and colleagues for making it such a wonderful experience. To all of you, I wish for you, success, and it is my hope that your journey through Linux be as beneficial to you as it has been for me.
