The chapters in this part of the Office Communications Server Resource Kit deal with daily operational tasks such as monitoring, backup and restore, and general administration of the platform. Chapter 13 covers how to monitor Office Communications Server 2007 using event logs, Performance Monitor, and Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, and describes how to monitor and report usage by using call detail records. Chapter 14 provides step-by-step guidance for planning backup and restore of Office Communications Server using the tools included in the platform and also additional tools provided in Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Finally, Chapter 15 examines how to configure global, pool, and server settings for Office Communications Server using both the administration console and the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) interface. This chapter also examines how to migrate users from Live Communications Server 2005 Service Pack 1 to Office Communications Server.
