About the Author

Amy Vetter is an accomplished business executive, serial entrepreneur, national speaker, CPA, CITP, and CGMA. She has held a variety of corporate executive positions and leadership roles overseeing customer programs, sales, education, and marketing functions, both nationally and internationally, such as being the chief relationship officer (CRO)—Partner Channel for Xero Americas. Prior to Xero, she was the CPA programs leader for Intacct Corporation and performed many roles in the accountant professional division with Intuit, Inc. Additionally, she has experience running multiple client accounting services practices, including her own companies and as a partner in a CPA firm.

Amy is an advocate and evangelist for entrepreneurship and the accounting profession. She has inspired thousands of business owners, corporate leaders, and accounting professionals as a keynote speaker. Amy regularly speaks on business, financial, technology, and work-life harmony topics at hundreds of conferences and universities throughout the United States and internationally.

Along with her corporate life, Amy is a third-generation woman entrepreneur with diverse experiences, including owning and operating her own accounting practice, yoga studios, and other business ventures. She is currently the owner and founder of DRISHTIQ yoga, a studio that offers more than 50 classes per week in addition to virtual yoga and teacher training programs.

Amy has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting three years in a row by Accounting Today and was named one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor. She has also been nominated as a Woman to Watch by the California Certified Public Accountant (CALCPA) State Society, and was selected by CPA Technology Advisor as an outstanding 40 under 40 technology-based accountant in 2006 and 2009.

Amy is an active member of a variety of professional accounting associations, including:

  • The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Information Management Technology Assurance (IMTA) Executive Committee;
  • An AICPA CITP Champion;
  • A CALCPA MAP State Committee member;
  • A CALCPA Women's Leadership Forum Conference Committee member; and,
  • An Ohio State Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA)—Cincinnati's Women's Initiative Committee member.

Amy regularly contributes her life-lessons and best practices on entrepreneurship, technology, and the accounting industry to Inc.com, Entrepreneur.com, Fast Company, The Business Journals, CPA Practice Advisor, Accounting WEB, and Accounting Today.
